It could happen to you . . .

One day finding yourself faced with allegations of misconduct or negligence. Professional school administrators must make quick decisions every day dealing with parents, students, employees, supervisors, and other agencies, many of which can lead to legal charges and repercussions. We know all too well that administrators are constantly faced with the possibility of legal charges, counter charges, class actions, Professional Practices Commission hearings, DCF actions, hearing officers, civil rights complaints, and the list goes on.

The DASA Legal Defense Assistance Plan is provided for members to assure they are accorded due process of law by providing financial assistance in defensive legal actions or proceedings arising in the course and scope of employment related activities. If a member feels that a legal defense situation is likely to develop as related to employment, they should contact the DASA office immediately. Specific details of the Legal Defense Assistance Plan are available by clicking the link below. Nobody is immune to charges whether false or valid. In either case, DASA will always be there when a member needs support.

If you need legal advice please contact Mr. Don Slesnick or Mr. James Casey at Slesnick and Casey, L.L.P. at 305-448-5672 or by FAX at 305-448-5685.
